Davenport Vineyards and team is a sole trader business, involved with production and sale of English organic wines subject to notices, terms and conditions as set out below. Statutory Rights – These terms and conditions offer you additional protection and do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Alcohol and the Law – Under UK law, we are unable to sell alcoholic drinks for consumption by anyone under the age of 18. When you place an order for alcohol with Davenport Vineyards, you are confirming that you are at least 18 years old and that you will not provide alcohol to be consumed by anyone under the age of 18.

 

Payment – Payment should be made at the time of ordering. All goods remain the property of Davenport Vineyards, until full payment of invoice price has been received.

Vintages – Vintages are as accurate as possible but may change during the course of the year. Where we have shown two vintages e.g 2019/20, we will move to the latter vintage when stocks of the former have run out. Occasionally, high demand and low availability can lead to unexpected vintage changes.

Damaged or Missing Items – If, upon delivery, any goods are missing or damaged you must report this to us within 3 days of receipt. Please open and examine cases on arrival and indicate any problems on the carrier’s sheet.

Cancellation & Returns – You may cancel your order within 7 days of the goods being delivered. All goods must be returned to Davenport Vineyards, unopened and undamaged. Once the goods are returned, the appropriate sum will be refunded. If you have not returned the goods within 14 days of cancellation, Davenport Vineyards reserves the right to subtract the costs of collection from the refund.

VAT – Value Added Tax at the current rate is included in the price.

Data Protection – Information is held for the purpose of maintaining customer records, and Davenport Vineyards undertakes to discharge its duties under current legislation. Payment card details are not held by Davenport Vineyards. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for our full privacy and security practices.

Delivery terms

Delivery cost depends on the quantity of wine ordered and includes most locations in the UK mainland. Charges are shown below.

Please call for a price for delivery to anywhere else in the UK including the Scottish Highlands (postcodes: AB30, AB33-38, AB41-45, AB51-56, FK17-21, IV1-20-28, IV30-37, IV40, IV52-54, IV63, PA21-36-40, PA80, PH15-26, PH30-41, PH49-50 , DD8-9, DG, TD, KW1-14, ) and Islands (postcodes:: HS1-9, IV41-51, IV55-56, KA27-28, KW15-17, PA20, PA41-49, PA60-78, PH42-44, ZE1-3), Northern Ireland, The Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. We can quote for a delivery to your address.

Our Couriers normally deliver Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm. If you are not there the driver will leave a card for you. If there is a safe place (or freindly neighbour) to leave the wine please let us know and we will instruct the courier. The wine will be left at your risk.
We offer a 2-3 day delivery service from the date the order has been processed and dispatched (excluding weekends), however we will get your order delivered as soon as we can, often the day after you place the order. On the morning of delivery, the courier will email or text to confirm their delivery schedule.

If the wine becomes damaged in transit, the courier will return it to us and we will send out a replacement case. For this reason, please do not leave your order to the last minute if it is important that you receive it by a particular date and please check it is in good condition when it arrives.
