Auxerrois is a lesser known grape variety, grown in Alsace for sparkling wine, and used by a few growers in the UK. It makes up at least 50% of our Pet Nat but every now and then we make a single variety traditional sparkling wine as well. This is from the ripe 2018 harvest.
The wine is a little softer than our other sparkling wines, making it ideal as an easy-drinking sparkler. It has aromas of peach and apricot and a background of yeasty flavours from the 3 years maturing in the bottle with the yeast.
